lol Kids that think gamecube games are "retro". Their actual retro games (n64 and older) are halfway reasonable.

Not to take up for GameStop but GameCube games are priced high everywhere unless you get lucky with an individual selling them for pickup. I just bought several GameCube games from GameStop recently and though priced high they were actually priced cheaper than eBay. 3 out of the 4 that shipped had the original cases and 1 even had the manual. All were in great playing condition. As far as Retro, The GameCube is now 3 systems back in Nintendo's home consoles (Switch, Wii U, Wii, GameCube). So even though it's not as retro as the N64, SNES & NES, I would think we'd have to admit we are getting older and the console that was out when a lot of us were in college is on the verge of being Retro

Yeah that was kind of my point. "New-ish" retro games always go for more.... the gamecube is the newest system to be considered old, so their prices are on point for the most part. As for it being 3 systems back, I would actually consider it 2 to 2.5 as the wii-u was aborted mid generation. The switch is just a fixed wii u... most of the games are just ports of wii-u games.

Anyway, you guys should wade through some of the older stuff.... they have some decent prices on Saturn games as well as NES.

Hey, the classics appreciate in value. A few years back I sold my sealed copy of zelda 64 for $500 on eBay

The Wii U is far better than most give it credit. Hardware-wise the only two issues it had was that the tablet controller was required, but then you could only have one per system. (And the battery life on the tablet is abysmal.) The other issue is that, like the Wii, it won't even play DVD movies, let alone Blu-ray. That alone would have had everyone who bought a Wii replace it with a Wii U.

I have zero complaints about the Wii U. If anything I'm kind of ticked off about the Switch. I stood by Nintendo and bought a bunch of games for the Wii U only to be "rewarded" by having to buy those games over again at full retail if I want to play them on the switch.

Why rebuy games if you're happy with them already?

I would think you'd rebuy them again for the benefit of being able to play them in portable mode on the Switch. I was also someone that supported the Wii U but I've also bought a couple of games again on the Switch (I'm looking at you Mario Kart/Shovel Knight). Although, just like anyone, I'd like to see the prices on games like Donkey Kong Country be a little lower since it's a re release. However, the fact of the matter is that for a lot of people this will be a brand new experience for them. Nintendo would be crazy to devalue their properties especially since it is for a brand new system and it offers portable mode as well.
**One thing I have noticed is that 1st party switch games have been getting some pretty good price drops at places like Bestbuy, etc recently so if people don't have to buy on day one, they can probably get it at the lower price they desire. I've seen really great deals on Both Zelda and Mario a lot sooner after their release than any other Nintendo Systems I can remember.
