I work in an organization that is (1) Very cheap and (2) Still using Windows 7 and Office 2010 in computers. I have purchased multiples of the 4GB model and, when coupled with a 120/128 GB SSD, make for very responsive workstations for our employees for a price that doesn't make anyone's budget alarm go off. I just purchased 4 more on Thursday to replace aging computers for our employees. I updated the first computer with all the Win7 updates and put all the software I wanted on them, and then just cloned the hard drive for the rest (and still have the cloned disk to use for the ones I just purchased).

Would also make a good desktop for your parents/grandparents/young children who just want a limited use computer to surf the net and get on facebook. Again, I would recommend a cheap SSD to make it responsive.

These deals on Refurbished PC's at Newegg end at midnight tonight:
Newegg has the HP Compaq 6200 Pro SFF PC Dual Core Intel G620 2.6GHz 2GB RAM 250GB HDD Windows 7 Pro [newegg.com] for $49.99. The G620 CPU is a dual-core that has a 2296 passmark score.

Newegg also has the HP Compaq 6300 Pro SFF PC Intel G640 2.8GHz 4GB RAM 250GB HDD Windows 7 Pro [newegg.com] for $69.99. The G640 CPU is a dual-core that has a 2527 passmark score.

Wired keyboard and mouse included with both.

Win7 isn't end of life until Jan 2020 so it still receives security updates.

Both of those statements are flat-out wrong.

Is the OP's configuration underpowered compared to any mainstream new computer? Sure. But is it an extremely economical solution for basic computer operations? Absolutely. It will load basic web pages without any issue and Win7 will receive security patches for at least the next 1.5 years.

I'm running an intel Pentium B940 2.00GHz as my current computer, it does not struggle to load the most basic of web pages, in fact I've got 11 pages open on one screen and teamviewer running on the other connected to my iSpy computer watching the baby. My passmark score is 1726. The computer in question has a passmark of 1637. I think they are fine for what they are.

I was curious, so I decided to get on PassMark to see how these chips score.
The G620 scores 2296 [cpubenchmark.net]. I assume that that the other chip is a G640 which scores 2527 [cpubenchmark.net].

Thanks for posting OP!

not to pass any judgement here, but how aging are your computers when you have to buy these to replace them? these will struggle to load the most basic of web pages, not to mention that youre running an unsupported OS in a business environment.

Probably work great as a basic htpc...comes with Win 7 Pro so Media Center is included.

@ThatsNotADeal Do these only have displayport/vga as online specs via google indicate?

I should show it to my boss, we have a lot of computers run Windows XP and even the ones running Windows 7 are older than these.

Windows 7 support ends January 2020 so I don't know where you're getting these are unsupported in a business environment. Windows 10 runs just fine if not better than Windows 7 in these and can still be upgraded for free.

They could still be upgraded to 10 for free?

Looks like an ok box for rock bottom price.
