I agree. Price is still too high. I wouldn't and won't buy it ...but I didn't see your link to something comparable with a current and better price. Confused

Personally, I have been waiting for a real deal since Black Friday 2016, when something like this could have been had for ~$200-250 ....but until then, or when someone will lend me a time machine...although, for those that need it right now, this price is ...what? ....meh? ....sure would like to see those links be posted ....

Oh, on a side note, from what kind of iPhone or iPad did you post and how much was it??

Ignore him. That guy is always spouting useless garbage intended only to antagonize SDers. Given the video card market is still recovering, $300 is a solid price for this card at the moment.

His post did seem like an idiot response.

As far as the actual 'deal', that's the way I see it, hence why I posted it. Although I won't buy it, I figured someone might need something like this today at $300 and, at that price and for today, that's reasonable.

Newegg reviews show a lot of these becoming flaky in a short period of time

Rofl3Rofl3Rofl3 ROFLMAO! agreed! oh hellz no! i'm holding off for the 1100 series at this point, hopefully in a month. they were supposed to be released in april, but i guess ngreedia wanted to milk the situation as much as possible. i dont blame them though. these prices are laughable at best Rofl3Rofl3Rofl3

That was a single fan model available for maybe 5 seconds before OOS? I could not get in on that deal. Hopefully it is a sign of things to come in terms of price drops.

I hate spending $300 on a gtx1060 6gb, but after waiting months for a low price, finally last week I bought one for around that price from Microcenter for my son, to replace an old gtx460. As an SD'r sure, I cringed spending that much. But the alternative was maybe many more months of watching and waiting - meanwhile time goes by.

In my own PC though, I will hang onto my gtx560ti like grim death, until new card prices return to a good price. But right now, $300 is an ok price for gtx1060 6gb, sad to say.

A few of SD'ers are in denial of finding GPU deals that are at going to be suddenly tanking to $200 and staying there for these price points.
Maybe they will, or they won't come down. Some of us can't wait forever. Wink

We can't stay glued 7x24 looking for deals ... even price alerts don't seem to help ... by the time I saw a couple they were all OOS.

I got one from Microcenter myself - lol holding off on opening the box during my 2-week return window on the Asus Dual Fan 1060 6GB unit ($289 AR), just in case a true slickdeal comes along! laugh out loud Big Grin

5 seconds? No. Way longer than that.
