Oh boy, not this debate again. To answer your question; yes, the G9X II is significantly better although there will be a couple of guys popping up here swearing their phone cams take better pics lmfao One guy in particular (forgot his name) will have to troll and say his Pixel phone is better, which it is not.

Does your K-01 fit in jean pocket? They are obviously different camera for different need.

That's what the "moms day" is all about. You take the good camera and gift her the elph.

What would be the point in having the second, crappier camera? To give to someone else?

I wonder if these 'premium' P&S are noticeably better than flagship phone shooters like the S9 or Pixel 2. The bigger sensor on the PS probably still helps in low light situations but the phones will be better software.

Awesome deal if you're in market for the g9x. The elph is a piece of trash though.

For this price, just buy a mirrorless. I'd take my Pentax K-01 that i paid the same price 5 years ago over this any day.

Be careful buying from Canon.com - they don't use a live inventory system, won't notify you if something is back ordered, and can't tell you when back orders are coming in.

great deal. lowest I've ever seen. I got it fro $494 refurb last Nov. (wished I have waited)

great camera but be aware there is a widespread problem with dust getting into the inside of the lens element.

here is my video on what accessories to get and how to protect your lens from getting dust inside.
