Seen some better prices for "Used - Like New" on Amazon and even open box on Best Buy, but nothing for a new one at this price point. Thought I'd share...

Previously similar price as on (11/13/17) : https://www.amazon.com/Chromebook...B01N5G5PG2

Just $50 off, however, it is the best Chromebook in the market.

Extremely nice Chromebook but it would definitely be overkill for my uses. Most of my CBs have reached End of Life but are still working just fine. Might splurge on a 302 if my current crop turns into a bunch of paperweights.

I would actually say yes because of the value. I have a c302 and cant think of a single reason i would switch to a pixelbook. If i want something that does more than my c302 can, i would need a pc anyway.

Interesting, good catch.

A YouTube review said that BB had the Pentium (4405Y?) version with 32 GB storage being sold for the same $499 that the m3/64GB version was being sold for at B&H, etc. This clearly says the m3, but the storage size is confusing for sure.

The version op posted has half the storage. see here:

If you're going to buy this, today you might as well pay the 20ish dollars and get double the storage.

I personally would rather wait for an Amazon - Like New. Not sure if I/we will be able to replicate the $338 (with coupon) any time soon, but $430 seems like too much compared to the recent Asus and Samsung deals.

I also be interested in the Acer CB 15, since this will likely be our main PC (with a Windows desktop to remote into), but the Acer's lower end CPU seems like a drawback just to get the very slightly bigger screen.

For those who own this, why did you pick it over the Samsung Plus/Pro?

I did the same. Just love the c302 so far! It was literally brand new.

I got 2 "Used, like New" Asus c302's from the Amazon Warehouse deal @ $330. One has arrived with major charging issues. Still waiting on the other. Went to Walmart and got the Samsung Chromebook Plus @ $349. After playing with the Samsung, the Asus is the clear winner hands down. Much better keyboard spacing & backlit, and just as important, near butter smooth scrolling, and twice the storage (64GB). Not sure I really like Asus's quality control, however.

I'm crossing my fingers the other Asus I ordered is a keeper. I'm returning the 1st one I got, and the Samsung back to Walmart.

No it is not. But it is cheaper. So if your budget doesn't support it then this is a good option.

I tried both for a few days.

Asus wins in
1) Keyboard is backlit,
2) better quality clicky keyboard,
3) Al metallic high quality body and finish.

But I kept Samsung Pro due to
1) slimmer and lighter than Asus,
2) loved 3:2 ratio for my use - magazines and reading,
3) stylus that I hope to use it a lot once I understand good use cases.
4) better quality screen with amazing colors.

Almost same situation. First Asus has been crashing upon resume. Not sure the cause. I haven't tried the second. I also got the Samsung from AWD and trying to like it but it's hard. Screen res is great but ChromeOS at higher res is hard to use on that size screen. Maybe I haven't figure out the right settings. Samsung keyboard and trackpad are both meh. I'm not sure which one(s) will be kept.
