256gb seems to be overkill....unless u like live on ur phone and take a million pics and videos and watch a million local files and never delete anything

i have 128gb s6 and have never come close to maxing out and that's with maybe 2-3x/yr offloading pics to local pc

Large capacity phone is more hassle for security reasons. A MicorSD is easy to clean with special software that write 0 all over it. A phone is much more difficult to protect against "undelete" efforts. I download many files including Bitcoin wallets and tax returns directly on my phone from website and emails and selling used phones is always a hassle for me, but SD cards are not an issue.

writing 0 all over it once isn't even enough if someone were really incentivized to get ur dad

fact is, the safest way to secure is to destroy physically or keep yourself.

Just encrypt the phone. Standard feature on Android.

I'm notorious with forgetting passwords and keys. Way to scared to encrypt anything.

Take the regular price and multiply it by .925
EPP and EDU discounts always 7.5% for phones.
256gb S9+ will be $869.50 a $70 discount.

Seems like losing your phone with unencrypted microsd card is just as big an issue.

Also since Galaxy s7, I think the phone is encrypted by default when putting in the screenlock credentials like fingerprint, etc.

Then you're not fully utilizing your phone. People have used their phones and turn it into a full-time YouTube career. It is all about how you plan to use it but if you think 128gb or 256gb is too much when you think about 4K than you would be mistaken.

yeah, i have a real job, not being a vlogger on youtube. and even if i was, i'd leverage microsd cards that i could expand/move around with ease, not my phone's internal memory which should be limited to app usage.

Will this mean that the regular 64GB S9's will drop prices?

I sell all my used phones once j get a deal on a new one making my avg cost of phone per month about $10 in the past few years which is really low.

Destroying a phone kills that altogether. lol
