A number Mercer Culinary Millennia knives are on sale at Amazon some matching
the prices of the FP deal on 12/20. I am no knife expert but based on the comments from that post I bought the Mercer Culinary Millennia 10-Inch Wide Bread Knife and love it! After the bleeding stopped, it is very sharp, I put it to the test. It cuts through a loaf of French bread effortlessly so no more smashed bread. It is so sharp I want to use it on everything. It has kept it's edge well. Lacking time I will just list a few of the others on sale too and look to the December post for more links also.

3" Paring Knife $4.35
3.5" Paring Knife $5.05
6" Stiff Boning Knife $9.95
10" Wide Bread Knife $12.45
12" Wavy Edge Slicer $15.75
8" Chef's Knife $13.95
10" Chefs Knife $15.85
12" Chefs Knife $19.95

I have the Genesis line paring and utility knife. They are also on sale, doesn't seem like a big discount but it matches the previous FP already mentioned.

I would highly recommend the genesis. Very impressed with the quality and holding up with a sharp blade. Seems better than my JA Henkel or WMF German knives.

These are decent stamped knives (comparable to Dextor-Russell, Victorinox, Wusthof Pro line, etc.); you see them a lot in cooking schools and commercial kitchens. Fine for home use although I have a slight preference to their Genesis line and the Victorinox Fibrox line.
