I have the Silhouette 2 and it works pretty good. The Silhouette Studio software that comes with it isn't the most intuitive. If you own a version of Adobe Illustrator I would recommend purchasing Silhouette Connect which allows you to design/edit your project in Illustrator and then export over and print your job. I think I found it for $20 on sale JoAnns (few years ago).

Great price! Less than the unit itself, but includes so many extras. Thanks OP.

You don't need the internet to use it, however, the use of the internet enhances its capabilities. You will need the internet to download the software.

I have had a cameo for years and it's amazing. Has a learning curve, though. If you're used to any kind of design or editing program it'll be easy to get. Cameo seems much more adaptable than circuit, or at least was when I was shopping them.

Being a graphic designer and using illustrator regularly, you can simply export your illustrator file as a .svg file and it imports into silhouette studio just fine... No extra software necessary.

Way better than the Cricut in my opinion. Software is able to do more.

Really cool gadget. I bought one for my wife a few years ago when she wanted to start making her own greeting cards, but I'm usually the one operating the machine due to the levels of technical aptitude and patience required. Smilie I haven't price shopped these things lately, but with all the extras included, it seems like a nice bundle price.

Another popular software option if you want to go beyond what's included is @ https://www.make-the-cut.com/

The silhouette can cut all the same things as a Cricut. You can actually use much of their materials interchangeably, as well as other third party brands.
