Amazon has Raleigh Cadent 3 [amazon.com] and Alysa 3 [amazon.com] hybrid bikes for $279.99 with free shipping with Prime.

MSRP is $699.99. Even with the Raleigh employee purchase program, these bikes were priced at $419, and because they are 2017 models, neither are currently available on the Raleigh website.

Excellent specs for the price:
- Shimano Claris derailleurs and shifters; 2x8 drive train (16 speed)
- Carbon forks
- Hydraulic disc brakes
- Weinmann U28 double-wall rims

These might even be over-spec'd for basic commuting, and are several steps above anything that you could find in a big box store.

They come 85% assembled, but you will either have to bring them to a bike shop to finish the job (probably $60-$100), or do it yourself (my wife and I purchased from Raleigh last year and it took about 90 minutes each to put them together with no previous experience).
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Cadent only in medium or large, small and XL are $699. That said, solid deal.

XL Cadent in tan is still available for $279.99. As with most Amazon Raleigh deals, I suspect that these may start jumping in price as they move.

Thanks OP. Picked up the Alysa 3 for my finacee. Been looking for a decent road/hybrid bike with flat bars and hydro discs at a reasonable price. Not the lightest bike but happy to buy a bike with carbon forks and Claris derailleurs at this price.

Great prices, I'm still hoping to find a decent price on a lightweight 24" youth bike. So far the ALYSA 24 for $179 is looking like my best bet, would prefer more off-road style tires though.

Search Raleigh corporate discount code...I don't know if it's still an option, but worth checking..once you activate it, you always have it

I picked up a couple 24" Raleigh's last year and each were under $180 shipped.. They have off road tires too.
