Cedar Summit Lookout Lodge 3 Slide Cedar Playset / Swingset - Do It Yourself

Costco has this one online at $1299.00, but in the store it is only $999 00. Put it together with a buddy in about a day, but my 3 year old daughter absolutely loves it.

Comparable sets elsewhere are well over $1500. Also, this one comes with a 10 year warranty and is all wood vs. a bunch of plastic. Great solid play set/ swing set.

UPDATE: it is now $849.00 for the next week!!

How come you prefer the plastic over wood?

We bought and assembled this one a few months ago! We love it. We decided against the wood sets. Less maintenance when sitting in the Az sun. We paid $999 on sale.

I can confirm the $898 price on the plastic one from Sam's. Bought it last year and love it. Had a wood one previously at the old house and within two years spent a day staining it. Definitely not worth it the maintenance.

I keep waiting for a metal one. If I had to burn my butt going down the slide as a kid, gosh darn it, my kids will too.

I believe it's a personal preference. The plastic one faded pretty quick is south Alabama so we went with the wood one. It definitely looks better up front and has a 10 year warranty on the wood. I figure they're not making quality sheds or houses out of plastic the wood should last long enough for my kids to outgrow. I just shared so people were aware it's cheaper in store than online.

I don't have a comparison between the two units exactly, just anecdotal evidence of wooden fences and gazebos (redwood and cedar) vs plastic playgrounds at parks. The plastic seems much more durable with virtually no maintenance.

I picked this up for $850 today at my local Costco.
After looking at playsets for the last couple of years I feel like this one is the best value for the money.
