$129 - EGO 56-Volt Lithium-ion Cordless Power Head + Edger Bare Tool (Multi Head + Edger Attachment)

$129 - 56-Volt Lithium-ion Cordless Power Head + Edger Bare Tool (Multi Head + Edger Attachment):
Linky [homedepot.com]

The way home depot priced this item didn't make sense at all. The multi-head alone cost $149 and the edge attachment alone cost $103. Combined, they cost $129, which is less than half of the cost of both tools added up.

Should probably put "EGO" in your title.. but besides that, is this a good deal?

Well, you should ask yourself: You're paying less than 50% for something, is that a good deal?

Yes, it is! I suspect this could be a price mistake on home depot's part because the price does not make sense.

That's how I purchased it a few months ago as well. It was cheaper to get this and then the trimmer add on than to buy the head+trimmer and the edger add on. Same products for a lower price.

Too bad the battery would be another $129. I have an 80-volt Greenworks mower, blower, hedge trimmer, and weed whacker and I would like to get an edger that doesn't take gas. Seems like a good deal if you already have a battery.

This seems like the right price for what you get. Hopefully the 7.5 amh battery that I'm getting with the mower I just ordered isn't too much for this thing weight-wise.

Yeah this exact combo goes on fleabay for $150 all day long. Not really an error. Decent deal if you were in the market, but no resale opportunity here.

I don't have this multi-tool so I don't know about the overall balance with the 7.5Ahr battery, but the battery is fairly heavy and large. It weighs 6.3 lbs.

Yeah, you may want to look into investing in one of the 2.5ah batteries. The 5.0 and 7.5 are kind of heavy, especially if you have a lot of trimming/blowing to do.

Does Home Depot sell a combo of the Power Head + Trimmer for around $129? Looks like these can only be bought separate?

They do sell that combo, but it also includes the battery/charger, which brings the price to $199.

Is that this one? Their website is terrible - it makes no reference to the PH1400 power head being included.

No, that's not it. It looks like HD no longer offers the power head with trimmer attachment (bare tool) anymore. I know they used to. They do offer it with the 5.0ah battery, but it's $349.

i have the 5.0aH battery and use it on my blower. and even with the blower just hanging, it gets tiresome. but not tiresome enough to not be lazy and use the 2.5aH battery.

i can just see with a trimmer having to actively hold it up and with an even larger 7.5aH battery, it's going to get annoying.
