I know this is a slightly different topic but sister company Milwaukee just announced a new cordless table saw

Yes that was on black friday in 2016 and it hasnt been posted below retail in the 1.5 years since. Assuming you are in the market for a saw and want to go with the ridgid line, this is a good discount because there is no way to predict them dropping it again or discounting it any further this year. It may not be great for reselling, but it saved me $100 because I was already planning on getting it.

Sure, but this isn't the 'alright price if you need it now' forum, it's Slick Deals.

But mostly I said what I said because you said that the last time it was THIS price was in 2016, when in fact it was 25% cheaper then this price in 2016...

I'm sure it's probably been $400 many times in-between, but people just didn't bother posting it.

FYI, Amex Membership Rewards also has their Home Depot gift cards on special for 20% off point exchange*. If you have Amex points to spend, that actually makes this somewhat slick.

* 20% off the baseline value of 1 point = 1 penny, which is the best you can do on standard exchange, so $100 = 8K points instead of 10K right now. Standard discount around this time of year, it seems. Makes it easy to break even or better on that now $195/year service fee, plus you get to keep the Amex customer service, guaranteed returns, extended warranty, the best anti-fraud in the business, etc.

This is pretty solid for a convenient jobsite/contractor type saw. It's no cast iron top cabinet-maker's saw by any means, but it's a great DIYers saw. I nabbed this with a gift card a while back at this price because it was marked wrong in the store. There were 2 signs that said it was $399 and 1 that said $499. $399 used to be normal price. The manager overrode the price then removed the lower-priced signs.
