You can barely get a GPU below MSRP these days.

May the 4th Only! 15% Coupon Off $50+
Ends today at 4pm PT! Use code PMAY4TH. Max. $100 discount.

Additional info:
Doesn't come with backplate as they used to with 1060 variants. Not sure why they got rid of it. Card is lighter compared to other 1070 Ti's.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1070 Ti DirectX 12 GV-N107TWF2-8GD 8GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Ex

Newegg via ebay (so, no tax for most) https://www.ebay.com/itm/302725430674
The break down:
Card $509.99 Shipping $4.99 - (PMAY4TH coupon) -$76.50 = $438.48

If you can add Chase Freedom via Paypal as checkout -5% ( $21.92) = $416.56

If you want to count eBay bucks - $5.10 = $411.46

Yes, there might be new stuff coming, but this line of cards (the 1070ti revision) came out in Nov (so a 6 month old card) with a MSRP of $449. $400 was my buy point for this card, but this was close enough for me.
Can get it now, for a more reasonable price or play the loto.

Hi everyone, first time poster here.

I bought this from Microcenter just last week and I just wanted to help people out with information on this card because there weren't reviews of this specific model (1070 Ti) with the Gigabyte's "Windforce 2X" cooler.

Initial thoughts after a week of use:

This is the same exact cooler used on the Gigabyte 1050 Ti, just with a longer heatsink. Same double fan setup. I know this because my last graphics card was also a Gigabyte Windforce 2X GTX 1050 Ti. Whether that says more about the 1070 Ti's power/thermal efficiency or Gigabyte being cheap, that's for other people to decide.
The card's cooler doesn't ramp up on basic usage, but I'm pretty sure that's industry standard by now, aside from the blower exhaust GPU cooler style I believe.
On maxed out 1080p gaming with a Ryzen 1700X, I don't think the fans have ramped up past 60% RPM and while I don't have any testing equipment, I can say that with closed ear headphones it's barely audible in my Fractal Nano S case - but definitely still there if there's not a lot of action happening. I don't think it's a stretch to say that this is probably not the quiet-est 1070 Ti cooling solution out there, especially if you're taking it into 1440p which I think it was more aimed towards.
Bang for the buck wise, or bang for the buck and noise/thermal solution wise, I think this is a super solid buy, just know that you are not getting the quiet-est or most advanced cooling solution out there.

Hope this helps!

Edit: I recently saw on SlickDeals front page there was an EVGA 1070 Ti going for $500, and I don't believe that the $70 premium difference between the EVGA and this Gigabyte is worth it "bang for the buck and noise/thermal solution" wise, unless a quieter cooling solution is highest priority. If you are primarily gaming with closed ear headphones like me, then the $70 difference is completely not worth it IMO

They absolutely will not be half price. The new cards are expected to be more expensive. Not to mention they will be sold out for months. If you need a good card, get this one. If you wait until the end of the year for the volta cards then you will be rolling the dice for a CHANCE of getting one. These cards aren't going much cheaper anytime soon. The 980s still go for over $300 on eBay.

If you need a card, you aren't going to do much better than this from a price / performance standpoint.

Ebay math: 509.99+4.99+44.62(tax)-76.50=$483.10

Different for untaxed transactions.

Sucks living in one of the few Newegg taxed places. (And next time I will try to remember to add one more calculation to the break down.) Which 1070 did you get ? While I bought this 1070 ti, it would not have been my first choice due to the lack of backplate. [And yes my posting was later than the OP's , even though I had already done my search, because first I always buy for myself, then post, and I try to add helpful info in the posts.]

Nvidia 1070 FE from yesterday's deal at bb. Thinking of returning. If anyone in SoCal is interested, pm. And damn that tax in TN is high. Thought red states don't like taxes.

User Benchmark [ http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Comp...3943vs3609 ]is showing effective speed on the ti version as 18% more, and you are getting this at 10% more cost (assuming no restock at BB).

You will get ebay bucks too, but I normally don't count them because they are trapped at eBay (although I listed them above).

As I noted, I had Chase Freedom to help with my deal. Good luck with your decision.
