I suggest everyone do a cost analysis before dipping your feet into nespresso. These capsules are able $1.10 each. You will find yourself spending about $1,000 on capsules a year depending on frequency of drinking and how many people drink it. I had a nespresso and got rid of it. Sure its convenient, but beyond expensive longterm.

Get original line, get compatible pods and do an americano. Tastes great and you get your "coffee" cup size. My wife likes doing Americano with the compatible pods instead of the nespresso ones so it's helped a lot. She recently bought 200 compatible pods from Italy(imported) for around ~$50 when Ebay had a 20% off coupon.

I haven't stepped into a coffee shop and gotten a drink unless someone has asked to meet at one in over 3years now.

I had the originaline and tried the aftermarket. They all tasted like crap, other tastes like chemicals. The nespresso ones tastes awesome but super expensive. I bought a breville espresso machine for 500 and couldn't be happier. 15 cents a shot compared to 70 cent with nespresso!

Wife's usually very picky and the compatible she's using for Americano is great. She wanted to return them at first when she used it for espresso though and even wrote a nasty complaint message to the seller wanting to return lol.

Checked her order and it was $30.09 after $15 off for 200 pods (seems they raised it now)

I'm thinking most people who look at the Vertuo are more "coffee" drinkers and would prefer Americano. When doing Lungo/espresso, most guests feel it's too rich/bold/bitter and I either run it twice on the same capsule or go Americano

edit: we still have nespresso pods though (Appregio and Ciocattino) and placed an order for 10 each when they had the free chocolate and cups lol. Was not worth it for the chocolates and cups haha
