Just in time for riding season.

Chaparral Motorsports on ebay is selling a set of Pirelli Diablo Radial tires in the very popular sizes of 120/70R-17 and 180/55R-17 for 218.76. https://www.ebay.com/itm/120-70ZR...4d6b00bfef

Use the ebay coupon PMAY4TH for the shipped price of $185.95. (tax may be applicable)

As Chaparral is an authorized seller (and sells this set on their website for the same price) it should be eligible for the Pirelli Rebate [360incentives.com] of $50 per set.

Final price of 135.95 isn't too shabby for a decent set of rubber.

Now you need to find someone to mount them and off you go.

Awesome deal. I have put two track days on my vfr800 with this front tire and it has done very well. I don't have any experience with the rear but I'm def getting in on this deal.

I'll never deviate from my PR3 or 4 but this is a good price for a hot weather + curvy road tire. These get mad flat spots if you're a commuter, FYI.

Why doesn't any other vendor have plain Pirelli Diablo tires? Not even on the Pirelli website. These might be quite old as I think they were replaced with the Diablo Rosso line many years ago.

I got PR4 GTs for my FJR with the coupon. My Diablos on the 919 are still okay. I really debated on adding them to the tally but I'm already over spending (curse you SD & eBay)

My recommendation as someone who buys tires on price and not need is to check the date code. 4 digit number in an oval on the side representing week made (first 2) and year made (last 2). i.e. 1317 would be 13th week of 2017.
If you think it's too old take it up with the seller.
To minimize outgassing, put them in a garbage bag or two sealed tight.
I'm assuming that these are stored with lots of other tires also minimizing outgassing but that's a swag at best.
YMMV

Good article on tires. [motorcyclistonline.com]

Great tires. I have these on my GSXR1000. Can anybody find 120/70 190/50 zr17 by this seller? I can't seem to find.

I read some reviews and it sounds like these should last a while and have good traction. I've got a 2004 FZ6 that I need to replace my battlax on. With these be suitable for a fair-weather rider who just goes cruising for an hour or two at a time?

Not sure about your bike but it's a great deal assuming the rebate sticks.

Man thats a great deal on motorcycle tires. I'm still sitting on a set of Avon tires I got 3 years ago.

I expected to run through my tires a lot quicker. People online say tires only last like 8k miles, but I'm already at 8k and I think I have another 5k left in it.

I've probably put 3k on my battlax and was told they probably need to be replaced this season (was told last spring)

Great deal! My last rear only lasted 10k (about a year), but the grip is really good in my books.

Id check the tires yourself. Your next set you should get dual compound tires like the Michelin Power Pilot. Thats what I'm running on right now
