If you pay with gift cards, don't you lose the extra year warranty you could get is using a Chase credit card and possibly other credit cards?

apparently a lot of the major CCs have stopped adding that extra year of warranty. There are so many CCs though that I am sure there are still some that currently have it, but it seems to be trending towards going away (same thing for price protection due to abuse or whats called questionable use)
