Stuck pixel on LCD monitor goes white and black depending on background

1,388 179 May 4, 2018 at 08:47 PM
Anyone seen a stuck pixel go from white on a black background to black on a white background? I can pull a window that has both white and black on it and see the change immediately. Any fix other than the normal stuff (JScreenFix, pushing on the screen, etc)?

Thanks.

It's a BenQ refurbed from a recent deal. The PD2500Q model. Undecided if I want to do a return. It's only one pixel but it is close to the middle of the screen.

Yep. BenQ seems to have a pretty good return policy. First 30 days no questions ask, then after that depends on the location and number of dead/stuck pixels. Their return policy was one reason I went with BenQ refurbished monitors.

As long as BenQ will pay for return shipping (I believe they will) I think I am going to do a return. Better than looking at this stuck pixel for the next 10 years.

If it changes color, it sounds more like a stuck pixel than a dead one. You can try leaving it off for ~24 hours. Or try these...

If none of those worked, you'll either have to return it or live with it.

Nearly every problem and atrocity in the world boils down to someone's pursuit of imaginary things (religion, borders, money). Do away with these and humanity might have a chance.
