I have this card. It's excellent. Runs cool And quiet. And the LED lighting that shines through the cutouts on the backplate look awesome.

Actually this is under MSRP on the aftermarket cooled gtx 1080s. Only the reference cards were 550. This MSRP was over 600.

You're right though at this point we might as well wait it out until nvidia launches their next generation and see what that does to the prices in the market.

This Gigabyte 1070 Ti Was $438 yesterday, $510 today. Thus, for $70 less one gets GPU performance that is only about 7% less than the 1080. [This does not take into account other factors, like 3 fan vs 2,etc]

The listing is still going on.

https://slickdeals.net/f/11554847-gigabyte-geforce-gtx-1070-ti-8gb-gddr5-graphics-card-438-50?v=1

Can be found in that link with a lot of extra information.

Of today's listings, this Gigabyte 3fan 'gaming' version of the 1070 ti is $500 AR Plus $5 shipping @ Newegg

Not much performance drop for a good deal of money drop.

[OP, putting AR in title is very helpful. Some, like me, hate rebates but will do them for select deals.]

Wouldn't count on it... GPU Prices typically rise and fall relative to the altcoin market. Ether took a major hit in the past few months but is steadily climbing...

They're coming out with a ton of dedicated mining cards that destroy these. I'd wait until next gen

With the insane price of GPUs lately this is a great deal. In theory the next gen 1180/2080 will be announced next month and will start selling in July. I'm rolling the dice for one of those.

Not really. It's at least $80 too much. We could have called this a good deal if it was a Ti, except it's not.

Though I fully comprehend that supply & demand will always fluctuate prices, still feel that many of these companies have been gouging most -the very consumers who BUILT their entire business.. Are there any vendors looking after their repeat customers & not just scheming extra bank off of market trends?

You'll regret this purchase when the new gpu comes out in the summer.
These cards will drop in price like bitcoin did from December to march.

It's economics at play. If they sell the cards for cheaper than resellers will buy everything and sell it for a profit. You'll notice that Newegg doesn't pump the prices like many other retailers which is why they have been sold out for a year.
