25% off Kindle Oasis and Voyage with Trade-In of ANY Kindle E-Reader (Even Broken)

This deal requires a tiny bit of work, but in the end will give you a relatively easy way to get roughly 25% off any Kindle (immediately). You get the most bang for your buck with the purchase of a Voyage and Oasis, but it works with the purchase any currently sold Kindle.

1) Search on eBay for a broken or cracked-screen Kindle e-reader (any generation). They are almost always available for around $10-12 shipped. The only thing you need to watch for is to make sure that it will be delivered within one week.

2) Go to the Kindle Trade-In page [amazon.com] and set up a trade-in of the model that you purchased. For models that are not functioning or have cracked screens, you will get a trade-in value of $5.

3) Choose the Instant Payment option to immediately get the $5 gift card and a 25% off coupon for ANY Kindle e-reader applied to your account.

4) When your eBay Kindle shows up, print out the trade-in return label, tape it on the package, and get it in the mail within 7 days.

That's a pretty good deal. I just traded in a paperwhite ($35 trade-in value) recently and purchase a new kindle oasis ($20 promotional credit because of trade in). This offer is far more better than the one I used. I contacted the customer service to see if they could apply this 25% off promotional offer to my order and the answers is NO. I pulled the trigger a little bit early. Frown

How do you like the oasis? I have the paperwhite latest gen and can't bring myself to buy the oasis at its current price. Is it worth the upgrade? I use my kindle at least 4-5 hours a week...

It's a nice solid device and I am loving it. I loved the actual physical button for page turning, I used to have a 3rd gen kindle (full keyboard one) which come with the turn button, I really don't like to turn a page with touch screen.

I wouldn't go for oasis if I have the latest gen paperwhite. They have the same ppi (300), and maybe the only premium you could feel is the slightly bigger screen and solid metal feel. The one I traded in was the first gen back in 2012, so it is a huge upgrade to me for both screen resolution and build quality.

Oasis is also water resistant if that's something you're looking into.

Unfortunately I don't see any option for instant payment on Kindle paperwhite 1st gen. Don't want to risk shipping my kindle only to see them pull the deal.

Make sure that you are accessing via a desktop computer and then click through to the order summary. It should show the instant payment option.

For anyone else opting for a paperwhite and not wanting the hassle of buying and sending in an item from ebay, Target via Google Express has it on sale for 99.99 and there is a current 20% (or 25% for new users) discount going on with some codes.

Did the Kindle Oasis go up in price from $250 to $270? I swear it was $250 early today.
