You had to be there...

Great game! Worth every one of the 680 pennies!

I thought this game looked stupid and the concept sounded even worse. Then I played it and I quickly understood the hype. It's an extremely fun game.

Saved by the keeper!

I agree, an extremely fun game and top played in my Steam library. Challenging and frustrating enough to still be exciting and not rage quit. As with any widely popular game, there are some true d!ck$ playing it, but you can avoid them most of the time.

I would recommend and ask if you all could buy this game at full price. For $20, it has been the best purchase I have ever made. 350 hours in and I am still having a lot of fun learning and getting better at the game. $7 is a great price but the developer could really use your support!
What are they going broke? I think they're doing ok. Making bank on this game. I do agree it's the best bang for your buck game I've ever purchased. I'd recommend that if people really want to pay more than this to support them then just spend the extra on in-game items.

I'm 400 hours in and still have a long ways to go to being good. It's still fun though!

They're doing fine - the game is three years old and still has a thriving community with frequent updates. Loot crate / in app purchases suck but keep prices low for those who just want to play and don't care what the explosion animation is when you score a goal

Over 1200 hours into this game and I just can't put it down. I try...but just can't. Most played game in my library since Halo PC or Halo 2. My best recommendation for the game is due the tutorial before you play...not a good game to just try to "wing it". After the tutorial, do a bunch of the training to get the feel for how the car handles. Most pro's use the Octane, the only difference in the cars is the hit box and the Octane is the most well balanced hit box.

After the tutorial and some of the training, it's time to start playing. What's great about this game, other than the smurfs in mm, you will get matched with similar skill levels the entire time you play, whether it is casual or competitive (again, aside from the smurfs). This differs from games like Call of Duty, Fortnite, etc. where you just get lumped in with people who have played for 1000 hours and you have 5 minutes under your belt.

Another thing to do after you've done the training and tutorial is to watch some videos on how the pro's play (as well as see what their settings are as you will want to change the settings like FOV and angle and such). Jhzer [youtube.com]is a fun guy to watch, imo, but there are other good ones like Squishy [youtube.com] that likes to talk about what he's doing or what he's looking for (very tactical, always watching the boosts and seeing what time they will respawn).

The in game purchases will not give you any advantage, all are cosmetic.

Last but not least, it's fun as hell, so have fun. There will be no buyers remorse.
