It's a good deal if you're looking for about the lowest-end spec laptop and only have $120 to spend, I guess...

I had 4 of something similar from Dell (about the same specs but 3 years old) and BestBuy trade in value is $3. Yes...THREE DOLLARS. No resale value.

It depends on your use. If you need something for web and email and social, then this actually works fine. I have a similar unit (Venue Pro 7139) with exact same parts, and it boots fast, runs Windows 10 PRO and acts like a regular laptop for light usage. Light usage is key.

I agree, I've said the same thing. However I just can't call this a slickdeal. It's at least 3 years old, uses an antiquated OS, and has 2gb of RAM.

This is an example that not all people need the latest & the greatest. Some people on SD thinks that everybody should be the same as them. & as being exposed by hot deals, they expect a $120 ultralight laptop/tablet to function as the $500.

It's $120, it's not for everybody but might be useful for some. If you have a need for something better then don't expect it to be this price point.

Eh it's an alright deal. I can't see myself going back to micro-usb charging though.

If it's of the same era as my old Venue 8 Pro, it comes with a full, non-365 version of MS Office Home & Student, with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and I think oneNote, which could make this slick not needing to buy an Office 365 license every year.

I have Unbranded Tablet which has Z3735 with 2GB RAM. This CPU is a faster than the UT, but still slow processor. Because of 2GB, even Chrom Browser is very laggy. I put this in closet a long time ago, no use for a while.

Be careful with itechdeals refurbs. Bought some B&W headphones that looked like someone's dog had mangled them. Literally appeared that they had been glued back together. Still worked but in bad cosmetic shape. Emailed about policy and informed that returns on refurbs not accepted.

It would last a two or three hours watching Netflix, but that was most of my use with it, and I normally kept it plugged in. I was able to install Steam and play Ultra Street Fighter 4 on MINIMUM settings and resolution really well (70-80 FPS), and I think it would handle that for at least 90 minutes, so it worked well for my uses. I have an older HP Probook with a second gen I-3 and the Venue 8 would play steam games a lot smoother.

Are you sure about that?

I know MS's policy was free office limited apps up to 10" screens.

Nice deal but I don't trust the seller on a used product. Dell, yes.
