Nice deal for a bluetooth stereo. Hardware extra. Free installation was common from BB a few months ago. It is back on some units. KDC-BT368U

For those wondering how this works, let me break it down for you.

Most people do not know that there are other requirements in order to get this or any radio in their vehicle. Of course, every car is going to differentiate and prices will vary.

Two essentials almost every car will need:

Hardware Kit - This will fit the actual radio into your vehicle, as they cannot use the factory dash to fit. This can range anywhere from $16.99 - $300+ depending on how integrated your dash is.
Harness - These are the connections from the radio to the vehicle. Without it, the radio will not power or have any sound. This can range anywhere from $16.99 - $99.99+
Antenna Adapter (Optional) - This will either convert your antenna plug from a mini to a standard size Motorola plug, or extend an already existing Motorola plug. This is entirely optional, but you WILL need it for you plan to listen to AM/FM Radio. $13.99

Some other things:

Steering wheel controls - If your vehicle has steering wheel controls, you can choose to have it integrated, or not. Basically, it is a module/interface that is theoretically translating to a language the aftermarket radio understands. This interface starts at $59.99+
Now, the more expensive harnesses, they are more expensive for a reason. Usually seen in the GM/Chrysler vehicles. The reason they are more expensive because it has a module included that does steering wheel controls as well. So, if your harness is $99.99+ it most likely does steering wheel controls if your vehicle has it.
There is an additional $5.00 materials that they charge with every vehicle that they work on. The material fee basically covers items used for installation, such as tape, zip ties, solders, crimp caps, etc.

Labor:

For this receiver, installation is included. It is normally $64.99.
Steering wheel control labor is $69.99.

The most important thing you want to do is to talk with a BB Tech if you plan to have it done by them. Otherwise, go on crutchfield.com and find the parts you need. Keep in mind is that these prices are if you buy them from BB.

Yes. That's where they make $s. Buy it, Research the H/W Kit and buy it online based on what you need and install it yourself if you want to save real $s.

I have this (or similar model). Great quality, only gripe is with Pandora. You lose the app screen.

But it's held up to the Florida weather better than my old Pioneer.

I have this and it sucks because if you are using Bluetooth, it doesn't resume the song you were listening to when you turn on the car. You have to either change the song or press play on your device.

BB Techs did a price match on hardware for me. I didn't even have to ask.

I just called them. Looks like it's about $33 + $5 for other materials

If they do free installation for speakers, I wouldn't mind picking this up for my car
