You could have Googled yourself you know? Expecting people to at least try to attempt to answer a question themselves is not "being a dick". I would say being lazy and expecting people to spoon feed you basic information that you are too lazy to look up yourself, would be considered "being a dick" in this situation.

"What does this do" is not a legitimate question, it is a lazy question. "How does this compare to the Makita" is an example of a legitimate question.

With the different coupons eBay has been offering, I was hoping to get it for $400. I'm pretty thrilled to get it for $450, though. Good deal!

Now how to tell the wife...

There is no better bench top planer on the market. I have owned one for many years, you cannot beat this machine for the cost.

I bought this item from the same exact seller a few days ago with the 15% off coupon. It hasn't shipped yet. Any advice on what I can do to try and get an adjustment?

$599 - 15% discount = $509 vs. $450

This or should I wait for the Wen brand planer for about $200? I am just getting into woodworking and I am a do-it-yourselfer. Thanks in advance.

This is an amazing planer. For those of you buying, I highly recommend upgrading the cutterhead at some point to the Byrd Tool Shelix cutterhead (OEM size). Also consider adding a Wixey WR510 digital planer readout.

I just noticed HD and Lowe's doesn't want to sell this anymore.
I wonder if a new model is on the horizon.
