Previous front page deal was $16.99. Price on Amazon [amazon.com] just dropped to $15.29, exclusively for Prime Members.
4.6 stars - 700+ reviews.

Edit: Target [target.com] also has it for $15.29. Probably why Amazon dropped. Thanks jeff34270!

All steel and lifetime warranty.

Features
  • Ideal for digging in tough soil
  • Welded 14-gauge hardened steel blade and 18-gauge steel shaft provide durability that far outlasts wood-handled tools and won't flex like fiberglass
  • Sharpened blade makes it easy to penetrate tough soil or break up hardened dirt clods
  • Length: 57.5 inches
  • Lifetime warranty

I already have three of these, otherwise I would have jumped on this deal.

Just bought one of these a week ago for ~ $18. Used it the last few weekends and it's great. Way better than then anything in this price range from HD.

It is a lot heavier than the cheapo shovels with wood handle.

I personally own this shovel and I refer to it as a "man's shovel" it is heavy and it does not bend.

Ordered mine last Thursday for $16.99 and scheduled delivery tomorrow...for 10% difference, not sure if it's worth the trouble.
Good reviews and looking forward to using it!

can someone please explain how this is different than any other shovel? I've used and abused the generic shovel I've had for a few years and it's fine. What sets this one apart?

It's a metal handle and way heavier than your typical shovel

Steel handle. I've broken every fiber glass handled shovel I've ever bought. Wooden ones are better than Fiber glass but I've broken them too.

Someone is also selling a used one for $2000. =) I don't see the OP price on Amazon, either. I assume it's dead on Amazon.
