I've been waiting for a couple of USB-C / QC 3.0 devices to go on sale as my wife and I are both expecting delivery of our first USB-C compatible phones tomorrow.

Nice to see this is Benson approved, but the reviews are still pretty shoddy (Fakespot: C).
Also, I don't think I've ever seen a car charger that has the cable attached AND an extra connector. I almost wish they left the cable out to allow the plugin of any cable length.

I might regret not buying this because the price is good...but I think I'll hold out for one that supports PD and QC 3.0 without an attached cable.

I've been using this for my pixel XL since 9/2017. It's still working great for me. I went ahead and ordered a second now to keep in our other vehicle.

I forget the exact issues now, but I recall one of the risks was using an incompatible usb c cable. With this fixed cable, the issue is prevented assuming you dont go ahead and use your own cable the spare slot. I always have a micro USB cable in there to charge the passengers phone or my mp3 player.

I do have quite a few cables and chargers and batteries from having a 6p and now the pixel XL. This is my primary.

Is your Pixel XL reporting "Changing Quickly" with this?

Seems odd that the USB-C cable is fixed to the charger.

I have this works perfectly. I plug a Bluetooth adapter in it 24-7 connected to my cars auto port. Quick charge works great on S7 and Pixel XL with all three usb port going at the same time. The quality it nice. It does stick out a bit and is definitely not one of those semi flush designs. But design and quality was nice.

Correction, I have the tronsmart one that is 3 usb with 1 quick charge. So sort of similar thing.

I have this charger. Note that the Qualcomm quick charge is only on the usb-a port.

If you have a device, like the Leeco Pro 3,you will not get qc on the usb-c.

On a nexus 5x the usb-c does "charge rapidly".

That's to prevent users from using their own cheap cables and not getting the result they desire and then bitching about it on the reviews. Didn't help though.

I bought their micro USB cables and 2/3 of them broke with gentle usage within a month. I'm not a fan of Tronsmart. Cheap, but very low quality.

I have both this version and the separate USB c cable plugged one. I prefer the cabled one. It's a car charger and it stays in the car. And the wire from tronsmart is pretty high quality. When I use my own cable I tend to break them. this also prevents people from using cheap cables. I used this with my 5X as well as my pixel 2 xl, macbook and switch.

Tronsmart cables are bad. Had issues with their MicroUSB 5 pack which either died or lost the connectivity when plugged in.

However I do own 2 of their 3 port QC 2.0 charger for close to 2 or 3 years and still going strong with no issues on any of the 3 ports.
