I regret I did not buy the original rubber hose that Sears used to carry. The quality of these new garden hoses from Sears is no where close to the original version.

by original do you mean the one that had the hexagon outer texture vs. the new one that is round?

Sears currently carries rubber hoses. He was wondering how the other poster differentiated between the current rubber hose and the old one that that poster prefers.

I hate the rubber one. Black residue always rubs off on your hands and it's heavy to lug around.

I used mine this past weekend to wash my car, it gets coiled easily and it's not the best quality, but will get the job done.

It will be rarely used. Probably to wash my small backyard from dog pee which doesn't require me to step away from the faucet. Considering buying one for front of the house to wash the car or trashcans lol
