Enjoy,

"...The document in full reads:

In order to provide the best customer experience, if a customer reports that their iPhone X is having Face ID issues, you may be able to resolve the issue with a rear camera repair. Run AST 2 on the customer's device to check the camera. If the diagnostics find issue with the camera, perform the repair to see if the issue is resolved. If the issue is not resolved, perform a whole unit replacement instead of a same-unit display repair.

Apple has not commented on this matter publicly, or launched any sort of official repair program, as these are internal guidelines.

Affected customers can book an appointment with an Apple Authorized Service Provider or Apple Store via the Contact Apple Support page: iPhone → Repairs & Physical Damage → The Topic is Not Listed → Bring In For Repair. Following those steps also presents options to contact Apple by phone or email...."

LOL at running around with a 2nd tier device and having the manufacturer of that device make you go phoneless for weeks if you ever need a warranty repair. 😂

Some people always come out and say apple replaces with new units, which is not true.

FaceID is probably the single most convenient way to log into anything, ever. It works exceptionally well and fast even if you're wearing glasses/hat/etc.
Not if you're outside in bright sun. I patiently gave my iPhone X four months as I tried to get used to FaceID before I sold it and bought an iPhone 8+. I don't know how many times I had to manually enter my passcode because FaceID couldn't recognize me in bright sun or low light. I've not once has to do that since going back to TouchID. Maybe I had a defective unit, but if you like to unlock your phone while you're not looking at it, you'll never be happy with FaceID.

Everything that you see and touch is brand new. The case, screen, ports etc will have no signs of use when you end up with a refurbished Apple product from an Apple Store. The other components are tested more thoroughly than their brand new products as well. Apple refurbs are top notch as far as refurbished products go.

What issues? My wife has the iPhone x and I'd like to know what to look for. She hasn't had any issues with face Id except in complete darkness.
