Just a heads up, this is only 120Hz CMI, and it's only native 60Hz. While it lists Dolby Vision as a feature, it's to dark to offer it effectively. The HDR10 output is really nice, but the performance in a bright room is lacking. Also viewing angles are pretty poor.

I use the 43S515 as a monitor/gaming TV, it's the same unit except without voice control on the remote. I love it for the price, the low response time rivals a lot of well made dedicated monitors. I use it in my home office which is usually pretty dark and it sits right in front of me so it's perfect for my needs. It's also 4:4:4 chroma which is nice for PC color reproduction.

How's the motion blur? I've got a Samsung 6290 and the blur is getting annoying when going from Black or red to White.

Do you have any estimate as to the response times on this model? You say it rivals monitors, do you mean 2ms monitors?

They list roughly 6-8ms for specs, I would say that feels pretty accurate in PC and HDR mode.

Thanks. I've been looking at larger screen alternatives for gaming. I might have to keep waiting for the BFGDs to come out later this year and see how the monitor/TV market evolves.

I haven't noticed it personally, but I will say I'm not generally very sensitive to the motion blur a lot of other people see, so I'm probably a poor judge, sorry.

What's the Plex support on these like? Is the maximum h.264 level 5.1 or higher?

Vizio's E43-F1 is $350 and has similar specs, including 10 local dimming zones. I'm waiting to hear a good comparison.

Big step down. Edge lit compared to FALD. Half the brightness. Half the price.

Is it worth the $40 over the 2017 S405?
