For the Bedroom many want Bluetooth for Headphones so as not to disturb their mate. Samsung has native Bluetooth. TCL does not so you have to run headphones via a Smart phone. If I understand that correctly. Also Samsung has voice search from the remote which is pretty slick. I don't think TCL has this feature, but the Amazon version might when released.

The TCL HAS Dolby Vision which may or may not be a major player down the road for HDR. Apparently the TCL displays more colors, but AFAIK no reviews yet on the brighness levels of the TCL for comparisons. Of course TCL has Roku which you may or may not already have a stand alone Roku device. Even then the Tizen smart system on the Samsung is no slouch.

Thank you for the advice. I currently use a fire stick in the bedroom TV to stream DirecTV Now and ideally I would like a TV with the built-in ability to do DirecTV NOW, so I can move the fire stick to another TV. I've been leaning toward the TCL simply because of the Roku but I'm not opposed to continuing to use the fire stick if a better TV deal pops up.
