I bought the type A for a few bucks more. I have an older Omron. I kept checking them within a few minutes of each other and the Omron always reported my systolic about 10mm higher and the diastolic a little higher too. Of course know way for me to know which was right except to go to my doctor. Welll my insurance sucks so didnt bother. Yesterday I brought them with me to Walgreens and tried them with the self serve machine at Walgreens. The Walgreens one was actually the highest but only slightly higher than the Omron. This brand was still reading much lower than the Omron.

Decided to try one more test. I went to Walmart and bought a basic ReliOn brand. I figured I can always return it since they have a 90 day policy. I did one more test with all 3, about 3 minutes apart to give blood a chance to flow in between. Same position.

My general results are that Omron consistently reports higher Systolic by 8-10mmHG, the Omron is reporting closer Distolic, only about 2mmHG higher however this varies and is less consistent. The ReliOn from Walmart is about 2mmHg lower than the Omron on both the top and the lower number.

Based on the fact that both the ReliOn and the Walgreens machines were closer to the Omron,. I am speculating that the XREXS is underreporting the top number by 8-10mmHg, However other factors could be factors such as fitting of the cuff. The only way to positively know is to calibrate at the doctors but not sure if I'll keep it that long because I'll be out of return window.
