Looks like it would be called a kittycoop since it is like the chicken coops you can buy to put your chickens in. Just hope your kitty/kitty's don't start laying eggs.EEK!

Flea-collar prison is no picnic. I have a client in there right now. See, the key is to scratch somebody's ears the first day — or become somebody's Molly. Then everything will be ok.

Thanks for sharing. I have been researching catios [catiospaces.com] because I think my two indoor cats would absolutely love them. I want my cats to enjoy the outdoor experience, but free roaming is way too dangerous in San Francisco. I volunteered at the animal shelter and learned house pets are known to be killed (e.g., car accidents, animal cruelty such as BB gun shots) on a regular basis.

Are you talking about rental catios? I didn't know there was such a thing.

If you're talking about rent in Pacific Heights of San Francisco, a one bedroom + one bathroom apartment is probably $3,500 to $6,000 a month.

I remember seeing a picture on Amazon where someone took one of thees guys and mounted it up against the house's siding. That way the cat could get in and out of the catio through an open window vs having to figure out how to corral them to carry them in/outside without squirming and running away.

I was looking at purchasing one of these before I moved to Florida. Now I have a 1000 sq ft screened-in lanai. My cats love lounging outside in the sun.

We built one of these out of pvc, metal lattice and plywood years ago. Attached it to a cat door built into the sliding glass door. Cat can go out whenever. A few hours work and a trip to the hardware store will save $300 here.

Edit: A real thing btw. More pics since I though some were horrifying/funny.

Nice! Did you follow one of those DIY instructions/sets or wing it based on experience? Have any pics of your setup by chance? Interested in building one myself this year.
