Nest cam upstream bandwidth consumption can be 388GB per 30 days at higher res/quality settings for the 1080p streams ( please see prior discussions on Nest cameras ).

FYI - for those who are looking for a non-cloud dependent indoor camera
( perhaps you have a small data cap? or just like to save on monthly service? )

You're basically getting 2 of these for the price of one.

I'm still trying to figure out why go with the IQ version (vs standard) if you're going to pay for Nest Aware anyway? 4K sensor is cool, but not 2x price cool. Someone help me see why?

Don't think the standard Nest Cam does familiar faces as opposed to the IQ

The speaker is much louder on this version. Also, it's true, 2-way conversation, unlike the 1-way walkie-talkie version on the original indoor.

As much as I like Google products, Nest cams are overrated for me. They already cost an arm and a limb then they also have to take more of your money to get it's full feature.

I own a Canary security system but I'd switch it to a couple or more of Wyze cams when I get a chance and as soon as they update it to work with Smart Home

Most of my cameras (Hilkavision) are attached to a Synology NAS for local storage. I have 2 NEST cameras; 1 for front door and 1 for backdoor. This helps cut down costs due to the amount of data each camera (400GB per camera per month) and subscription fees while the other cameras record at their leisure for later viewing.

Does anyone know how the payments work? I put in for one, but my payment says processing while others looked to be confirmed almost instantly.
