Google of dogfish ssd only shows these for sale on Amazon/online. Another of the various China/Asian ssds.. wonder what the warranty is like? I wouldn't trust my data to them, but they're doing a great job of pushing down prices. Although, my Sandisk extreme (top of the line when I got it) died after a year.. lost everything but drive is warrantied for exchange for 10 years (they give you a new drive, not refurbished).

Company website: http://www.szdogfish.com/index.html

Based out of shenzhen, China (right by HK).

Dunno about this company but it's likely using Toshiba MLC and a Physion S11 controller. A lot of these really cheap SSDs are. I'd probably go with an Inland Professional 480 GB SSD [microcenter.com] personally as I have access to a Micro Center and I know those SSDs use Toshiba MLC and a S11 controller while also having a 3 Yr warranty. The 120 GB version of these is about twice as fast as my old 240 GB drive that's a few years old.

That Inland 480gb is listed as TLC though.

Oh nice catch. I didn't notice as their 120 was MLC. Looks like the 120 and 240 GB from them are MLC then the 480 goes TLC.
