It is either because the price is going to go back up in a week or so or that they are just slow to lower pre-owned price. It is usually the former.

Because new = pre owned at GameStop. Last 3 (new) games have been opened/used with a piece of tape closing it to make it 'new' again

I completed the original. It's one of the worst games I've played (horribly outdated/simple action gameplay, badly-told story, and generic rock music everywhere which doesn't fit the theme - although some people really like the music) . It's only real quality is lesbians with big breasts. If you're into that, then you'll like the series.

As for this second entry, I'll probably never try it. Based on reviews, it's *slightly* better all around, but a few fans of the original didn't like it as much due to some changed mechanics.

The price probably won't get any lower until the PS5 comes out (this is typical for Gust games - $20 is the lowest they get until the next system comes out, then you can normally get them for $10 used).

I think same I can't get into games where the protagonist it's a female or a happy person....
