The customer support is really good. So far so good, I have 2 AT&T SIM card, 1 Sprint hotspot, and 1 Sprint Gateway from them.

Anyone downvoting this deal is rather uninformed. Pretty clear at this point that people blindly downvote FreedomPop deals. Even if you don't like FreedomPop, you can use this AT&T Hotspot on any AT&T Provider. This is literally just an AT&T-Locked Hotspot bundled with a FreedomPop AT&T SIM. This is a good deal if you want an AT&T Hotspot.

Also you can literally just head over to Account Settings and cancel your FreedomPop Account. Takes ten seconds. There's no need to contact CS or downgrade or do anything else if you want to cancel. That's one thing FreedomPop makes simple regardless of their many constantly changing and cheapskate policies.

Why does it show $3.99 for the 500mb plan?

What are the diff between CDMA and GSM hotspot?

Sprint vs. AT&T

Once Friends are added, you'd have 1GB/Month on Sprint or 700MB/Month on AT&T on the Free Plan. Note that you must pay at least $10.00 in order to downgrade fully.

Where? The 500MB Pro Plan would be $6.99/Month. The 500MB Free Plan would be free. There's no $3.99/Month option available.

Don't understand the animosity towards this carrier sometimes. Maybe they did suck in the past, but my mom's been having exceptional service since July 2017 - all for pennies
Attached is a snapshot of my "charges" over the past few months

Freedompop refunded my leftover credit balance back to my card and even gave me money back when I accidentally added voicemail once. You have to be patient with customer service because it's all support tickets, but they get to you within a few days. With AT&T service, swapping devices is easy and rock solid to boot

I am in the same boat with you. Don't expect Freedompop offers free service all the time. I've spent over $100 over 5 years to Freedompop and I am pleased with its service and the cost.

Do you think I can setup monthly limit on it via settings? (I mean like android phones, limit phone data usage after certain limit maybe like 500 mb/month or cycle or something?)

You don't need to do that as after set-up with Freedom Friends you'll have 1GB/Month. Once Top-Up is disabled, you also won't be charged for any overages.

You can check the Unite's manual on Netgear or AT&T's website.

As far as I know, I don't think we can do that. Freedompop offers "free plan" and makes the profit on our overage. However, it has the screen to show that how many data you've already used.
