Note on this model - if Spectrum/Time Warner doesn't let you autoregister this modem, call them and they'll do it for you.

FYI Spectrum does not charge for the modem, only the wifi/router. No reason to pay for one with them.

If you are still on Time Warner pricing, then you are being charged, so this would pay for itself in no time.

Spectrum provided my parents' neighbors with Puma 6-equipped modems. They've had issues with them. Glad I have my parents a Netgear CM600 to use.

Can anyone recommend should I get this or similar priced netgear ($59.99, 686 Mbps) at amazon. I am with xfinity.

The CM500 works well with xfinity comcast. I set up two for a friend and aunt. Used web portal for activation. The modems have been on for more than 6 months without needing a power cycle reset. One is running on a 15mbps plan, the other on 75mbps plan with average of 85mbps down.

If you can wait, the cm500 has gone down to below $50 with coupons.

Since it has no phone jack, my guess would be no it does not. If I am wrong, someone correct me.

Nope. This best one for camcast voice would be CM500V.
