Woot - WTF Pricing (Starts on 5/10 at 3 PM CT)

Looks like woot is trying something new with their deals and pricing:

WTF (Woot's Totally Fun-Tastic) Pricing is a way for us to give you a chance at a ridiculous price on a specific deal without losing our shirts. It's a simple as that.

Pricing starts at $1 and then goes up from there. More details [here] (https://www.woot.com/blog/post/wt...tf-pricing).

Unless you have a bot program (like me) you won't be able to buy this fast enough. Leave this for the professionals. Thanks.

EXACTLY, no human buys at these prices, it's bot programs. How are these companies not aware of this? Then you just have 10,000 customers all pissed the item went from "not for sale yet" to "sold out" instantly, feeling (correctly) that the whole thing was a scam

WOOT won't care about its customers' feeling, as long as their product sold at the price they set, that's why I have turned away from WOOT years ago.

Seems bizarre considering the only logical reason they would do this is to excite customers and entice more to come, yet none will get the deal thereby defeating the whole original purpose. Am I missing something?

I was page loading on two devices and never did see it come up. The page wouldn't even load for the first 3 minutes of the sale. Epic fail. Ha ha ha.

I agree with the earlier poster. I don't think that Woot really even cares any more. Once the company was successfully sold off, management had what they were looking for.

Honestly, I was just smashing F5 until I clicked it and saw the "I want one" button. Clicked "place order" as fast as possible, and I got it!
