I'm thinking of getting one to exclusively use to turn pork rinds into pork rind dust/crumbs for air frying my pork chops. #keto

That sounds quite good. I need to come up with new things to try. Is air frying with pork rinds better than frying in oil?

I just got my air fryer and was able to air fry chicken and pork chops with 0 added oil. Pretty crazy. The pork rind dust is basically used as breading. I have some almond flour being delivered today and will try that soon. Air fryer is definitely one of the best purchases in my life

Not that it matters at this price, just know that this is the discontinued model.

Decided to get my mom a blender for Mother's Day, but I decided on the Oster 1200 Pro instead that was on sale repeatedly towards the end of the year. Been doing some reading, and there's some stuff I didn't like about the Ninja.

1. The blades are all in the middle, and that combined with the square container, apparently it misses chunks on the edges. The location of the blades also make cleaning it more difficult and more likely that you'll cut yourself.

2. The container is plastic, just like on the Blendtec and Vitamix blenders unfortnately. Even being BPA free, it's not good to heat up stuff or cook with plastic. Also, plastic dulls more easily and cracks unlike a glass container.

3. The $60-100 model I read something about the blade breaking and the container cracking or something. I forget, but check out the reviews.

The main downfall of the Oster Pro 1200 is that you can't buy the replacement gaskets because they've been out of stock for 2 years. Also, the food processor attachment is made of plastic and people say it breaks very, very quickly, but since it's not on sale anymore I'm probably just gonna buy the blender. There's something wrong with the smoothie cup that comes with it too. Something about a gap that traps food and you can't clean.

I have a co-worker that has a Nutribullet and all I remember is that something on it broke. I think she could still use it, but something went wrong already.

I was looking at the reburb Blendtec one for $180, but even at that price point, the reviews still say it doesn't blend smoothies to a perfect texture. The Vitamix is just out of my price range. A refurb goes for $275 with tax, and the new entry level model is $297 for a new one.

Ninja's are always on sale. I wonder why.
