Got this last year. Love both. It's no bush hog, but it sure beats maintaining the old IC engine of my last one. Also, the blower is good for small tasks. Super convenient. Unfortunately, I had to wait almost 8 weeks for the blower to arrive because the manufacturer underestimated demand.
Quick charger that comes with it is much faster than what came with my drill/driver.

Pretty good deal IMO.
I dare say these aren't as good as the eGo stuff but still powerful enough for those of us in typical subdivisions.

The new gen blower is plenty powerful for all of my tasks around my home but it is a battery hog.

That 9ah battery lasts 10-15 mins on full power. Luckily I have plenty of spare batteries.

I have the string trimmer and hedge trimmer already. Anyone know what the value of just the blower is if I return the rest?

String trimmer under or same 20v are just garbage.
Stop spreading this ignorant nonsense. Milwaukee tools (particularly their "Fuel" (brushless) offerings) are among the top of line, and you'd be hard pressed to find a better battery trimmer/blower.

You can do *far* worse - and many of the 40-60V competitors are just that.

Nonsense.

I have two echo trimmers (22cc?) and one Husqvarna 28cc trimmer. I've used these regularly within the last 10-15 years. I got the Milwaukee trimmer last fall during one of the big online sales and just used it last week. I think don't think $299 is a deal at all though. I see myself only using the Milwaukee going forward as long as I stay on top of the lawn. It didn't bog down, it cut easily, and with the 9AH battery, I managed to trim the perimeter of a 1/2 acre lot without switching to my 2nd battery (though I was almost out of battery)

not having to deal with premix, carb repair, fuel drain/storage issues, not to mention the noise and stink...now if they had a strong enough blower to replace my old echo 610 backpack blower....

I think the free blower, Milwaukee 2724-40 is listed as M18 FUEL GEN II Blower. The 2728-20 is the 1st Gen model.

You are correct, Free blower is Gen2 model. I bought the combo and got the Gen2 which I read from reviews is a decent amount better

I bought the kit. String Trimmer is great. Blower is very good. Both are by far trimmer and blower I've ever owned but I can't compare them to gas or 56v or 36v tools.

From my home use that are even overkill. I use the trimmer on Rabbit mode 95% of the time.
I don't think anyone will have buyers remorse if they get this. I do think if the blower / hedger was not free that 299 is too much just for the string trimmer. But with the free blower I look at it this way, trimmer $100, blower $100, 9.0ah battery w/rapid charger $100. I'm happy with those prices.
