G10 movement. No thanks. The G10 is a no serviceable (aka throwaway) quartz. I do watch repair. As a previous poster said, Seiko Monster is a much better choice. I'd even take a simple Seiko 5(7S26) over anything with the G10 series movements. I just had another watch in my shop last week with a G10 that just stopped randomly. Hardly anyone pays the money to have a new one swapped in and they're usually pretty upset when I quote them a replacement. I personally won't own one from my experience with them at my bench.

A automatic or manual watch is not inherently better than a quartz. There are some amazing quartz watches available and some very crappy automatic watches. There is far more to a watch than the movement type. A Grand Seiko 9F, Shinn UX, Citizen Ecodrive One or A010, Laco Trier, ect are all very sought after and loved quartz watches that cost thousands.

When evaluating a watch, you need to look at all of it and not just the movement. Bracelet/strap, clasp, crystal, face, bezel, accuracy, ect. There is fare more that goes into determining a watches overall quality.

Even as a Quartz, I think if this had Sapphire it would be worthwhile. Tissot is great.
I have a Visodate and I wear it almost everyday.

Go with the Monster Auto. This is a $200 quartz watch. Not worth it IMO.
