The usb-c spec only allows 4k60hz when all four superspeed lanes are utilized, meaning any hub with this feature will only have usb 2.0 ports as there is no bandwidth left for usb 3.0. That's why you won't be able to find any hubs with 60hz as they don't want to lose that functionality. There is an expensive hub by caldigit that can do 60hz by turning thr usb 3.0 ports inti 2.0 via a firmeare update. Thunderbolt doesn't have these restrictions as it can share bandwidth.

Note that this is 4K@30Hz. Some conflicting reviews on MacBook compatibility for the HDMI port, but Amazon has a good return policy.

Trying to decide if I want to buy this. Wish this sale had happened in September when I needed to get an adapter for my 12" MacBook. I got one with just HDMI, USB3, and USB-C pass-through. The extras in this one could be nice.

Yeah, I believe there are some. I have an Anker USB-C to HDMI adapter that does 4K@60Hz. I think it's not Thunderbolt but could be wrong. I would have to look to see what it's doing under the system report on my Mac. But I beliebe USB 3.1 is capable of running at that rate and resolution.

Please note that you need usb-c gen2 for hdmi to work. Usb-c gen1 does not carry video signal. Most acer laptops will not work. Learned this the hard way.
