I have the A version in a workstation build for Momma and with the M.2 and a modest CPU it's FAST. Nice board for the price.

I got that $19 MSI board the other day, too, but I needed an inexpensive non-refurb to build a friend's computer. Thanks, OP!

me too. they rarely have good deals like this on itx.
it's funny how the boards have so much less components that you'd think they would be cheaper. yet a comparable motherboard in a slightly bigger form factor and the price is $50 less.. same with SFX powersupply. cases, not so much problem. scored a phanteks Shift in Gray for $80~

it has been a good month to pick up parts for cheap builds - at least the secondary ones.
the Corsair CX450 was $17 after rebate, Corsair 100R was $20, and now this board.

yeah, but i figure maybe some drop at $100 for ram, another $150 for a 1050ti (hopefully) and a i5-6xxx should make for a decent entry level

I think it's a question of volume - mATX sell in far greater numbers and therefore manufacturers can afford lower profit margins on them. Mini ITX tend to be specialty builds where people are willing to pay more for components to end up with a small system that fits space constraints. Gaming mini ITX boards generally have built in wifi as well, to save space and leave the PCIe slot open for a graphics card, so that adds something to the cost. Most mini ITX components are more expensive compared to their regular sized counterparts - cases, power supplies, etc.

Also, mini ITX systems are harder to build in, so that keeps a lot of buyers away.
