Encrypted download only playable on iTunes. All major providers only offer encrypted downloads, meaning you can't burn you own disc unless you use a recording program. Also can't put on a usb and plug into your TV.

Tuneskit. It will change your life. Doesn't work on high Sierra though, but Windows is good.

Can you buy these movies without any Apple devices? Been thinking about getting an Apple TV Box just to take advantage of iTunes deals & free 4K HDR upgrades.

Also, since Disney is new to distributing 4K Blu-rays, with Star Wars: The Last Jedi & Black Panther being their first two.(3-years late IMO) Are their digital codes that come with it for just FHD Digital Downloads like the other Studio's 4K Blu-rays? Or are they for 4K HDR Digital Downloads instead?(Fingers crossed)

Cause that's the reason I've always bought the 4K HDR Digital Downloads instead of the 4K Blu-rays. That & because they release digital versions early, which is why they do it in my opinion. They want people who want to see it early to buy it when it comes out on digital. But then also purchase the Blu-rays as well when it comes out later, double the money for Studios.

If I had an Apple TV, then I'd definitely just purchase the 4K Blu-rays & get the free 4K upgrades with the FHD digital codes that come with Blu-rays. Vudu sometimes has a better option where they have the digital only versions. But then also sometimes have the option of purchasing the the 4K Blu-ray for $30 & then you can watch the 4K HDR Digital Download right away. And then get the physical Blu-ray disc shipped to you when it's available.

They did that with Justice League when it first came out, but most of the time they wait for the digital version to be out for a while before they offer that option. If Vudu could do that for every new release that comes out, that would'be an easy way to combat what Apple is doing. It's a way of buying the 4K Blu-ray & also getting a 4K digital copy as well. Which is what Apple is doing with this free 4K upgrades deal.

But with Vudu it's better, because they let you watch the 4K Digital Download right away. As where with Apple you have to wait for the physical copies to be released. Which sometimes will be as long as a month.

Last Jedi and Black Panther are not Disney's first 4K.

What is FHD?

Disney 4K Codes beginning with Coco redeem 4K in Vudu and Movies anywhere. iTunes does not have any Disney in 4K right now. They are arguing over the price premium.

They aren't actually 4K downloads, but 4K streams. The actual downloads as opposed to streams for Vudu, iTunes etc are HD.

Need Apple device or PC or Mac with iTunes.

Just be aware, because many are not, only purchases or code redemptions directly in iTunes are eligible for the free 4K upgrade from the participating studios - No Disney upgrade.

No upgrades for HD movies that port in through MoviesAnywhere.

All you need is an Apple TV and an iTunes account.
