Do not buy any Bestbuy Gift Card, because the balance can become zero before you use it
I got two gift cards on 1/29/2016. I kept the cards in a safe place at home for the last two years and never had a chance to use it.
Last week I went to store and was told the card balance was zero. The card never should expire.
Store employee printed out the card transaction history.
The cards were used to make purchase at 1:51am Saturday on 2/13/2016 at Bestbuy online.
Bestbuy customer supports asked me to contact headquarter and I contacted three times and was told to contact local law enforcement. I called police department and I emailed the card transaction history. Police department contacted Bestbuy customer support twice and was hang up without any luck talking to anyone. Police department asked me to call Bestbuy headquarter for help and told me there is nothing they can help.
I called headquarter again and was told about the term and condition. Bestbuy is not responsible for any stolen card or lost card and will not recover any loss if the card balance is zero. Wells, my card was not stolen or lost. the pin# was never scratched off until the store employee removed the cover for me.
I goodle search and found many people had the same issue.
Does anyone have any luck any one back from Bestbuy? The gift cards had $120 balance when I received it.
