CCC says it was lower on April 21. By $1.50. At $76.

So, $77.50 is a pretty good deal.

I'm more curious if this has garbage construction quality like some of their earlier stuff. If it isn't crap build quality and it gives LEGO quality a run for their money, then I'd definitely bite.

Also, should we be wary of the seller?

If you sell bulk lego you usually get penalized if the buyer finds megablocks mixed in.

Those figures...

Not sure about the seller, but I payed around this price a few FPs ago and it was totally worth it. Great build, especially if you split it up over a couple of days. Mini figs are pretty ugly, but the ship itself is true to TOS and is a real show stopper.

Two sellers at this price. Both look to have very good reviews.

I bought this a few months back around this price. It is not Lego quality, but for the price it is 100% worth it. Lots of fun to build, looks awesome complete.

I bought this for ~$70 on the newegg market place and I am happy with the quality. Most of it is pretty solid blocks and not a bunch of fancy cover pieces over empty space. It's about 2 and a half feet long when assembled. It does take a fair while to build as unlike lego sets it doesn't spoon feed you the small assortments of bricks you need for the part you are currently working on. Instead most or all of the blocks of one size/color will be mixed together and you might use them throughout the build. Also you will have different blocks mixed together and there were a handful of particular pieces that I found really hard to find and I ended up skipping them in the build until I found them later as they were pieces that allowed that. The pieces that are mixed together are by and large not that similar to each other so it isn't hard to pick out what you need once you find the right bag out of the several dozen bags but there are a lot of pieces. By that I mean you won't have a 2x4 and a 2x5 of the same color in the same bag. You might have a 2x4 and a 2x8 or 2x12 of the same color in the same bag together but they are pretty easy to tell apart without having to count them.

The other big difference is all of the pieces with art on them have it printed on them from the factory and you aren't having to stick stickers on stuff. That does mean you can't mess up the process but it does sometimes mean finding the particular piece you are looking for based on the art that needs to be on them.

It's on the top of my shelf on my desk at home and I'm happy I got it. Have a Lego Apollo set waiting for my birthday which will get put together and put next to it.

I'm actually in the middle of building this incredible set! My suggestion is SORT them out - by their kind and color. Put in their respective boxes/bins before you start.

It will save you A LOT of time and frustration.

I have never been a Mega Blok fan, love Lego Technic, but this set is very good. I build it over the winter and was extremely impressed. The blocks take more effort to snap together, but the end result it a sturdy, well built model. For the price, I cannot image anyone who would not be impressed with the end result.

I will confirm others posts: Printed graphics are much better then stickers and pre sorting saves a lot of headaches.
