I would strongly recommend anyone putting together a retropi to get a power supply with at least 3A rather than 2.5. I found that SNES and MAME emulation resulted in undervoltage (indicated on-screen with a lighting bolt icon) issues with a 2.5A adapter.

I don't understand why this is slick. These are standard prices, that's why you don't need any promo codes. Search Amazon for SNES pi controllers and there will be some even cheaper. As for the kit, it's the same $55 kit canakit and vilros have been offering for awhile. I purchased mine a few weeks ago. If you buy them separately, you get a better complete system. The case kit I linked to below comes with three heatsinks, a fan and a power cord with a switch. The controllers are even a few bucks cheaper. Total for everything below is about $73. If you really need the vilros snes controller, then your total will be $74. You pay a little more, but you get a fan, extra heatsink, and a power adapter with switch. You can do with just 2 heatsinks, but there are three locations you can put heatsinks at, the CPU, LAN and Ram. I use all three heatsinks. If you don't like the case color I picked, just search Amazon, there are various complete case kits.

UPDATE on my thoughts..

Okay, so the OP edited his original post to reflect correct price of $58.49. In which case, it is pretty good. Original post said $69 total, which had me confused. I still would pay a little more for the components I talked about.

Is the deal decent without the controllers? I'm looking to get into retroPi, and Pi in general

and am I blind, I am not seeing a promo code?

It might not show up on your mobile app. See the attached as to where to find it. It is not the promo code (my bad).

Buy it from eBay probably for less than 10 for 2 controllers.
This actually includes the pi and case

After discount, the final price is 58.49 not 68. Please correct the title.
