Lol. You use it to install faucets and sink drains. stain free means you can use it on porous materials (ie granite, stone, etc) where as regular plumbers putty cannot. stain free is more expensive. this is about 50% off reg every day price at home depot, definitely a slick deal

Not really, this doesn't really harden like plaster, it's more like clay and used to prevent water from dripping/leaking.
