Can the YPAO room calibration software calibrate a dual sub set up? Any opinion if it is same or better than Audyssey or Dirac?

YPAO is inferior to Audyssey for room calibration and sub calibration. It's not even in the same ballpark as Dirac.

It is really too bad because the rest of the RX-A2070 is comparable (component wise) to more expensive receivers. I think you'd probably have to step up to the AVR-X6400 to get a comparable build from Denon.

I'm, sorry but no. Unless a ton has changed in the past few years. I compared $1000 receivers in my own theater room, including Denon, Marantz and Yamaha. The Yam blew the others out of the water. Maybe the room calibration want as good but there are manual overrides for everything and it isn't that hard to tweak and measure yourself. You can get a way better sound system out of the Yamaha than the Denon. At least go Marantz if you are considering something from D&M {edited because of superman being wise}

I've had great experience with the Yamaha YPAO, YMMV.

I'm sorry but I have to pipe in here because this is a little miss leading. It's nice pixelpusher(or anyone for that matter) has "compared" on his OWN system but that only applies to that. There is a lot more to just that, like room layout,room acoustics, speakers, preferences,etc.
I could tell you that I to have compared and felt Audyssey worked best and easiest to use and yes you can always do it manually but then why worry about room correction.
I could tell you Yam's weren't great with our MA Gold's, made them sound to bright and didn't do as well with movies either. That is all specific to "MY" set up and preferences.
All I'm saying is AQ is all personal and no one can tell you what is best for anyone else, just not fair to tell someone this or that blew this or that out of the water because that is specific only to that person and would not apply to anyone else.
Sorry but had to say something, just thought I would give my 2 cents.

You're right. The Yamaha worked great in my setup, and that's about all there is to know. I'll edit
