Yeah, if you want a calling monitor and not spend half a thousand dollars 27" 144hz is the best you're going to do.

If you want 240hz (240 FPS) You'll be luck to find something in the same price range as a 27" 144hz.

I ordered this just this past week from BH Photo. With coupon, it was $180 and no tax.

This is my first monitor, or at least "nice" monitor and I have it set up with my 2017 15" MacBook Pro.

Works well, I stream a lot of Netflix and HBO and other video and it looks great. Plays nice with macOS and I ordered a USB-C to DisplayPort cable from Amazon, so I can bypass using the HooToo hub I bought.

LG has that screen split program and there are some nice options for those that need multiple windows open.

I game on mine, but I play DOTA 2, so nothing too intensive. I run the game at all high settings at the monitor's standard resolution and I get about 35-40 FPS, which is good enough for me.

The speakers are nice, not great. I was expecting worse based on video reviews on YouTube but they're nice enough to watch The Office in the background while doing work on my computer.

Has 2 HDMI and one DP and then a port for headphones, all in the back.

My LG ultrawide started having screen issues before 1 year. Fixed through warranty. And at 3 years from purchase the same problem happened again.

Can't suggest LG anymore. I used to love them but I can't.

The screen's lower third would flicker mirror/shift and really caused issues during gaming or movies or even browsing Slickdeals!

I just replaced it with an Acer with a 3 year warranty and added on an extended warranty.

Edit: just saying my experience. I can't afford replacing a monitor every 1-3 years. So I spent $20 on an extended warranty... Which I NEVER do.

If this were only curved. I want to do dual curved - this has everything I'm looking for (freesync, displayport, vesa mounts, under $200) just not curved... everything is missing at least one of my criteria.

I don't see $180.on NewEgg, I'm seeing $337. which is better than Fry's $379.99

Skip the 29" and go with the 34". The vertical space is too limiting. You have been warned.
