Here what i found https://www.atpeaz.com/getting-th...home-siri/

some people tried hardwork to make it workable but unfortunately there is no any updates from the manufacturer regarding homekit, so it doesn't work by defaults 😞😞

TP link is a very well known brand, but never used iTechDeals personally but trustpilot review says "great" https://www.trustpilot.com/review/itechdeals.com

also Resellers ratings webpage review says 9.19/10 over 13,317 reviews

They are 22 years old and in USA since 2008,
Well reputed company specialized in IT Wireless and Wired Network devices,
Their products include wireless routers, mobile phones, ADSL, range extenders, routers, switches, IP cameras, powerline adapters, print servers, media converters, wireless adapters and power banks. TP-Link also manufactured the OnHub router for Google.

I have good experience with wide range of their products and Kasa is one of them.

If Giant Google trust them, then you should do to Smilie

I have 3 TP link smart plugs, set to be timers for lights to come on and off, on at sun down and off at sun rise. Worked flawlessly for almost 1 year now, even from outside the US, wonderful and better than setting timers where you always had to change the time. Ordered July 10, 2017 3 of TP-Link Smart Plug, No Hub Required, Wi-Fi, Control your Devices from Anywhere, Works with Alexa (HS100) Total for This Shipment: $25.83 Special price for Prime members and also a special if you ordered thru Alexa at that time. They worked out at about 8.03 cent before tax at that time.

They're open box...

I wouldn't trust open box smart home devices...

Anyone in the middle could install software or their own hardware chip in the device...

If it's not factory sealed I'm apprehensive..

I just looked at them on Amazon though and they want like $23/ea if you buy a 2 pack.. I'm pretty sure I got the 6 I already own for less than that and they're the HS110 (Energy Monitoring) models.. I guess they're really taking off..

To answer previous questions, they're amazing..
I come home and can tell my Echo "Hey Alexa, turn on the Living Room Air Conditioner" ... 'Okay' and boom, A/C turns on to the last settings I used..

I agree with you better to get sealed ones. I have 3 of these in my apt and they are great.

I bought one of these and greatly regretted it. Since then I've purchased 3 of the updated ones that only take up one plug and not two, and they work great. Some random issues when connected to Alexa, but nothing a reset can't fix.

Regardless, I'd highly recommend staying clear of those particular two socket hog.
